SEX AND THE CITY star SARAH JESSICA PARKER feels no kinship with her famous character CARRIE BRADSHAW - and would even be "embarrassed" by her in real life.

The American actress, 38, is famous for playing the quintessential independent single New Yorker in the massively popular TV series - but Parker, who has just had her first baby with her actor husband MATTHEW BRODERICK, claims she leads a life that is the complete opposite of Carrie's life of constant partying and sex talk.

She explains, "My character has open discussions with the other three girls but in real life my friends and I would never talk about such things. It would embarrass us.

"I also never drink like Carrie, never go to wild parties or get out so much."
