CARRIE SNODGRESS - OSCAR NOMINEE SNODGRESS DIES
OSCAR-nominated star CARRIE SNODGRESS (corr) has died in Los Angeles, aged 57.
The actress, who was up for an ACADEMY AWARD for her movie debut in 1970's THE DIARY OF A MAD HOUSEWIFE, died of heart failure at UCLA MEDICAL CENTER, while awaiting a liver transplant.
Snodgress also starred in 1978 thriller THE FURY, CLINT EASTWOOD's western PALE RIDER and cult thriller WILD THINGS.
The actress was married to classic rocker NEIL YOUNG for seven years. Her son, ZEKE, who was fathered by Young, was by her side at the time of her death.
