Just one actor will play all ten OOMPA LOOMPAs in TIM BURTON's upcoming movie version of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

Tiny thespian DEEP ROY has been cloned using digital technology after film-makers failed to find enough small actors to play the group of workers in WILLY WONKA's confectionary factory.

Roy, 48 - who has previously starred in Burton films PLANET OF THE APES and BIG FISH - will be paid $943,000 (GBP500,000) for his multiple appearances in the remake of ROALD DAHL's surreal adventure, which stars JOHNNY DEPP.

A source says, "Roy was delighted when he was told he'd be the only Oompa Loompa.

"His image will be copied to look like all of Willy Wonka's helpers are in the film."
