British movie beauty OLIVIA WILLIAMS claims taking hallucinogenic drugs on set helped her performance in new kids movie PETER PAN.

THE SIXTH SENSE actress, who is currently pregnant with her first child, says director PJ HOGAN instructed her to portray her MRS DARLING character as someone who lives in a dream world - so she took LSD during filming.

She says, "PJ told me that he thought the crucial thing to get across Mrs Darling is that she went to NEVERLAND and only half her brain came back.

"At first I didn't really know what to do. I didn't want to play her like she'd had a lobotomy, so I just tripped acid whenever I was shooting.

"Oh, if UNIVERSAL PICTURES could hear me now, telling you that!"
