THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G - NOTORIOUS BIG FAMILY DENIES MISLEADING JUDGE

LATEST: The family of slain rapper NOTORIOUS BIG have denied misleading a federal judge and have accused the city of Los Angeles of making a desperate big to derail their civil lawsuit. Papers filed by attorneys on Tuesday (30MAY06) for the WALLACE family allege the city "gave a really incomplete view of what happened" during the investigation in the rapper's unsolved 1997 murder. The city of Los Angeles is accused of staging a "desperate attempt to prevent additional discovery" about alleged police misconduct. Judge FLORENCE-MARIE COOPER angrily accused the plaintiffs of lying last week (ends28MAY06), after they claimed they had not seen a key piece of evidence that led her to declare a mistrial in the family's wrongful death suit. Los Angeles attorneys said they had proof the family had access to the information and asked the judge to stop the discovery process. Wallace family attorney PERRY R SANDERS JR says, "I would hope the judge looks at (the filing) and realises we did nothing whatsoever to misrepresent anything."
