Former STAR TREK actor LEONARD NIMOY has slammed KIRSTIE ALLEY's new comedy FAT ACTRESS - branding its depiction of overweight women "dishonest".

The screen star, who turned 74 on Saturday (26MAR05), has a new photography show set to open in New York City this summer (05) based on plus-sized women.

And the actor admits he's far from thrilled with Alley's representation of large women on TV.

He blasts, "It's deplorable, dishonest, contrived. My models are proud people."

Comedienne ROSIE O'DONNELL was also among those who expressed disgust at the recently-debuted show.
