JACK NICHOLSON - NICHOLSON GETS BIBLICAL

Movie veteran JACK NICHOLSON is trying to convince LEONARDO DiCAPRIO to change his name to Luke - to tie in with a biblical theme on the set of their new film.

Nicholson is starring alongside DiCaprio, MATT DAMON and MARK WAHLBERG in director MARTIN SCORSESE's forthcoming gangster movie THE DEPARTED.

With the exception of DiCaprio, the other stars all share the name of the apostles and Nicholson - whose real first name is JOHN - wants his younger colleague to join the club and rename himself Luke.

Nicholson, 67, jokes, "Then we could be known as Matthew, Mark, John and Luke."
