MYSTIKAL - MYSTIKAL SENTENCED

Fallen rap star MYSTIKAL has been jailed for six years by a Louisiana, America, court after being found guilty of committing sexual battery.

The SHAKE YOUR A** rapper, 33, was convicted yesterday (15JAN04) following an incident in July 2002 where a 33-year-old woman accused him and two bodyguards of forcing her to perform sexual acts in repayment for money they claimed she had stolen.

The victim - a hairdresser - told JUDGE TONY MARABELLA's court she refuted Mystikal's claims she had taken money from him unlawfully.

During sentencing Judge Marabella said, "The court is convinced that the defendant believes he is above the law and can take the law into his own hands."

Bodyguards LELAND 'POKIE' ELLIS, 37, and VERCY 'V' CARTER, 35 were also sentenced to three and four years in jail respectively after pleading guilty to the charges.

Mystikal also received a five-year probation sentence for pleading guilty to extortion earlier in the case.
