Cult US rockers MY MORNING JACKET are among the big names up for numerous honours at the upcoming sixth annual Jammy Awards in New York City.

The group has been nominated for Song Of The Year (OFF THE RECORD), Album Of The Year (Z) and Live Performance Of The Year for their San Francisco show in November (05).

Indie act moe. also scored a hat-trick of nominations yesterday (23FEB06) for Archival Release Of The Year (WARTS + ALL VOL 4), Show Of The Year and Tour Of The Year.

And BENEVENTO/RUSSO DUO will compete for Album Of The Year (BEST REASON TO BUY THE SUN), Best Song (BECKY) and Tour Of The Year.

The late FRANK ZAPPA will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and will be the subject of a tribute performance at the prize-giving in April (06).

LITTLE FEAT, PETER FRAMPTON, MARTIN SEXTON and BAABA MAAL are among the acts lined up to play live during the quirky ceremony.
