Documentary film-maker ALBERT MAYSLES finds it tough watching his 1964 BEATLES footage because it features GEORGE HARRISON smoking heavily.

Maysles was given exclusive access to the FAB FOUR upon their arrival in America in February, 1964, and he's releasing the footage on a new DVD, THE BEATLES: THE FIRST US VISIT.

But he admits there are moments in his own film that he doesn't like to dwell on.

He says, "George is smoking and that's ironically what killed him.

"He did this funny commercial for MARLBORO for us and then he walks away still smoking. That's on the footage."
