SAMANTHA MORTON - MORTON'S SMEAR CAMPAIGN AGAINST NANNY

Actress SAMANTHA MORTON launched a smear campaign against her former nanny after sacking her, an employment tribunal in London has ruled.

The MINORITY REPORT star sacked DANIELLE POTTERTON, 26, in 2002, claiming she leaked personal information to the press.

She then encouraged celebrity friends - SUPERGRASS drummer DANNY GOFFEY and his girlfriend PEARL LOWE - and other potential employers not to hire her, and even called Potterton's agency to demand they fire her.

On Friday (16APR04), the tribunal ordered Goffey and Lowe to pay Potterton $5,400 (GBP3,000) in lost income.

Danielle commented after the case, "They have money and fame, but they are not above the law."
