EMILY MORTIMER - MORTIMER'S SON SPARKS CIGARETTE EMBARRASSMENT

British actress EMILY MORTIMER has decided to give up on boasting about the achievements of her baby son, SAM, after he embarrassed her with a pack of cigarettes in front of shocked parents.

The LOVELY + AMAZING star was boasting about her boy's success in a costume party to friends at a baby gym session when the tot started waving his mother's cigarettes above his head.

She recalls, "This one day I just couldn't resist boasting because he'd come first in a costume party... I'd dressed him up as a little tiger and drew a nose on and whiskers with eyeliner and he won.

"I was just talking about this great moment in my life and... I saw as I was talking to these mothers their faces slightly fall and then this look of abject horror come over them.

"And I turned around to see where they were looking and there was my son... trotting through the middle of baby gym with a packet of 20 Marlboro Lights held above his head.

"He'd been rummaging through my handbag to look for his pacifier and pulled out a packet of cigarettes.

"They were so appalled. No one even laughed. I just had to go and put them back and pretend it hadn't happened. I think if he'd have been carrying a small machine gun it would've been slightly less shocking."
