MOBY fears is so stunned by a scathing review his new album HOTEL has received, he's wondering what he's done to personally upset the author.

As the GO musician's latest project hits shelves, Moby remains positive - taking pleasure in the fact he has triggered such a strong reaction in a listener.

He says, "Last week the NEW YORK TIMES ran a review of my new record. It is arguably the worst review of a record I've ever read in my entire life.

"I don't know if I like killed the reviewer's dog accidentally. Maybe I dated his ex-girlfriend or maybe there was an apartment he wanted and I bought it or something. But he called it the 'end of music'.

"In some way that's sort of like a back-handed compliment. I'm like, 'Wow, I've affected this guy so much!'

"If I spend a year and a half making a record and it comes out and someone gives it a bad review, it's like apart from inventing a time machine to go back and redo it, what can I do? I could pretend I don't care..."
