British actress DAME HELEN MIRREN is horrified tattoos have become "a middle-class thing", as she considered the design on her left-hand a rebellious move.
The CALENDAR GIRLS star, 59, had the permanent mark "years ago" at a time when it was more unusual to be spotted with a tattoo.
Mirren says, "I got my tattoo years ago when only sailors and HELL'S ANGELS had them, I'm appalled that it's become a middle-class thing.
"There's no respect for rebellion any more."
