BEACHES - MIDLER: 'COCAINE IS UNATTRACTIVE'

BEACHES star BETTE MIDLER gave up cocaine because she hated the way it made her grind her teeth and talk endlessly. The 60-year-old actress experimented with narcotics when she was younger but was turned off by the side-effects. She says, "I did a little cocaine in the early days but I didn't like my nose running into my soup the whole time. So unattractive! "I also didn't like grinding my teeth. All it did was make you chatter. So dreary. So I finally said, 'It's not worth it.'"
