MEL B - MEL B SETS SIGHTS ON 'N SYNC STAR

Former SPICE GIRL MEL B is vying to land a date with 'N SYNC star LANCE BASS - sparking reports she's desperate to attach herself to an American celebrity to boost her ailing career.

Mel, 28 - who used to date British actor MAX BEESLEY - was spotted "rubbing" up to the boyband hunk at trendy Los Angeles nightclub AD recently. But her efforts were seemingly to no avail.

A spy tells Britain's DAILY MIRROR newspaper, "She was really rubbing herself up against Lance, trying to impress him with her moves. I don't think she was having much success though."
