Imprisoned lifestyle guru MARTHA STEWART has been banned from cooking for fellow prisoners this Thanksgiving (25NOV04).

Stewart, who is serving a prison sentence in West Virginia for obstructing justice, will be served all the traditional favourites, but she won't be allowed to have input.

Spokesperson DAWN ZOBEL asserts, "We have an established menu already in place that goes through an examination by a dietician and we don't let the inmates have input into how we run our menu."

Stewart's daughter ALEXIS and other relatives will make the journey to West Virginia to visit her. However, it isn't known whether Stewart's 89-year-old mother, MARTHA KOSTYRA, will be fit to go.

A friend of the family says, "It's a long drive. Martha is hesitant about whether she's up to it. Grandma wants to go, but she may have to choose between Thanksgiving and Christmas."
