ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS star JOANNA LUMLEY had her doubts when she was first approached to write her memoirs.

The former AVENGERS actress was unsure for months before she finally put pen to paper to write NO ROOM FOR SECRETS, which hits book stores yesterday (07OCT04).

Lumley, 58, says, "Knowing when to write a book about yourself is difficult. Leave it too late and you may be senile or possibly dead, do it too soon and you look vain, opportunistic, or self-obsessed."
