CHRIS - LUDACRIS MOVES FROM CRASH TO SVU

CHRIS 'LUDACRIS' BRIDGES is set to star in US TV show LAW + ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT as fellow rapper/actor ICE-T's nephew.

The STAND UP hitmaker's cameo is the latest in a string of acting roles for Bridges - he recently starred in Oscar-nominated movie CRASH, and has also had roles in 2 FAST, 2 FURIOUS and HUSTLE AND FLOW.

He tells the New York Daily News, "I have been a fan of Dick Wolf's Law + Order for a long time.

"When I was approached to work on SVU and read the script, there was no way that I could turn down this amazing opportunity. The character was so rich and the story line so complex that I knew it was something I had to do."

The episode will air in the US on 28 March (06).
