JENNIFER LOPEZ - LOPEZ STIRRED BY HURRICANE VICTIM'S WOODEN FIND

JENNIFER LOPEZ was inspired to do all she could for the victims of Hurricane Katrina after she saw haunting TV footage of a devastated woman carrying a plank of wood.

The actress/singer has donated cash to the relief effort and appeared during Saturday's (10SEP05) MTV telethon, REACT NOW, urging others to do the same.

She felt compelled to do what she could after she was left speechless by a TV news report.

She says, "There was one of these ladies and all of a sudden she runs to a piece of wood and is, like, 'This is from our bedroom...'

"That's... the only thing that you have to hang onto from your life."
