LATEST: The director of jailed rapper LIL' KIM's last video is facing legal action because 18 crew members who worked on it have yet to be paid.
The staff claim cheques they were paid with last month (SEP05) have been declined and, despite constant assurances their money is coming, they are still waiting.
The New York Daily News reports that producer HEIDI TANNENBAUM is confident of resolving the pay dispute, even if it means taking court action.
She says, "I'm prepared to pursue whatever legal road necessary to solve this problem.
"This morning I called the whole crew, including the vendors - probably 50 people altogether - and only three people have got new cheques."
A second production worker adds, "It's been a complete run-around. It's double-talk! They need to pay us. In this business, people will let things go for 30 days, but after that, you owe us the money."
Video director KIRK FRASER, who owns the Washington-based production company May 3rd Films, has refused to comment on the scandal.
Meanwhile, R+B singer Lil' Kim has consistently denied any involvement in the bounced cheques.
Her spokesman RONN TOROSSIAN says, "She has no first-hand knowledge of any debt and has nothing to do with the situation."
