JULIETTE LEWIS - LEWIS: 'IGGY SAVED ME'
JULIETTE LEWIS credits IGGY POP with helping her quit drugs.
The actress, who now fronts rock band JULIETTE AND THE LICKS, famously battled drug addictions during her early twenties - but she insists THE STOOGES singer's music pulled her through her dark periods.
And she was comforted to know Pop had beaten his own drug demons just years earlier.
She says, "I went through my own tough time about ten years ago when I quit drugs, and the only thing I would listen too was NEIL YOUNG, BOB DYLAN but mainly Iggy Pop like THE PASSENGER, I NEED SOMEBODY and DIRT over and over again. I love him.
"The last time I got to see him play I got to meet him backstage. I made him hug me - it was really nice."
