ASHTON KUTCHER - KUTCHER BIDS FOR POKER LESSON AT AUCTION

Newlywed ASHTON KUTCHER treated himself to a poker lesson with top player ANNIE DUKE as he and his new bride DEMI MOORE made their first official public appearance since their marriage (24SEP05) at a Las Vegas, Nevada auction.

The actor bid $14,000 (GBP7,700) for a private poker session with Duke at the uBid.com online celebrity auction, which took place at the Empire Ballroom.

Kutcher felt compelled to attend the event with his new wife when he learned all the proceeds from the auction was going to aid the ongoing Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

He said, "I was lying in bed with my wife, and we were watching TV, and we're watching all the stuff that's going on with the hurricane disasters and I started to get p**sed.

"I was getting really, really p**sed off. I'm like, 'Why isn't the government ready for something like this? Why aren't they doing something?'"

Ashton's ex-girlfriend, BRITTANY MURPHY, also attended the Sin City party, as well as 'N SYNC star LANCE BASS, who bid $30,000 (GBP16,600) to snowboard with pal JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.
