KIRK DOUGLAS - KIRK DOUGLAS' SMOKING LESSON

Screen veteran KIRK DOUGLAS gave up his longtime smoking habit in one easy step - he looked at a picture of his dead father.
The SPARTACUS star, whose father died of cancer, has been free of his nicotine habit for over 50 years, and snapshot of his late dad was all it took to stop him from lighting up again.
He recalls, "One day in 1950 I was in my den, smoking as usual. I exhaled, and through the smoke I saw a picture of my father on the desk. I thought of him on his deathbed. I help up the cigarette and studied it. 'Who's stronger - you or me?' I asked.
"I never smoked again."
