NICOLE KIDMAN - KIDMAN BEATS CRUISE TO WORKING WITH COMPOSER

Hollywood beauty NICOLE KIDMAN has convinced legendary composer CRAIG ARMSTRONG to work with her instead of her ex-husband TOM CRUISE.

The OSCAR-winning actress will be working with Armstrong on her BAZ LUHRMANN-directed CHANEL commercial - despite director MICHAEL MANN's attempts to sign the musician to devise the score for Cruise's latest movie COLLATERAL.

A source says, "Armstrong turned down a major motion picture to work on a commercial.

"The word is that Kidman didn't want him working on both."

But Kidman's publicist insists there is no discord between the film stars: "Nicole would have nothing to do with the production.

"Nor would she do this kind of thing. She has no rancour with Tom."
