JURASSIC PARK - JURASSIC WRITER'S DIVORCE PAYOUT

JURASSIC PARK author MICHAEL CRICHTON has suffered a massive cash loss - after paying out multi-millions to end his marriage.
The best-selling novelist agreed to give his ex-wife ANNE-MARIE more than $40 million (GBP25 million) in cash, property and possessions from their 13-year union.
As well as $32 million (GBP20 million) in money, Crichton will also part with a mansion just outside New York, various cars, a string of race horses and works of fine art.
It's emerged the deal was agreed two years ago, but the popular writer - who hit the big time when his novel Jurassic Park was made into a STEVEN SPIELBERG movie - asked the divorce court in Los Angeles to keep the settlement secret.
On top of his success writing about dinosaurs, Crichton has amassed a fortune writing books, films and TV shows like ER, CONGO, SPHERE and THE 13TH WARRIOR.
