NORAH JONES - JONES CANCELS JAKARTA GIG OVER TERRORIST FEARS

Jazz star NORAH JONES has cancelled a concert in Indonesia after warnings of terrorist attacks.

The COME AWAY WITH ME hitmaker was set to perform in the capital Jakarta on 1 March (05), but has cancelled after government warnings from United States authorities that militants could be planning attacks in the south east Asian country this month (DEC04).

Earlier this year (04), classical quartet BOND and R+B singer ALICIA KEYS pulled the plug on their Jakarta gigs following the September (04) attack on the Australian Embassy in the city.

Promoter JAVA MUSIKINDO hopes "security conditions in Indonesia improve" so international stars can start performing for the nation again.
