Hollywood beauty ANGELINA JOLIE has furiously denied reports she enjoyed an intimate affair with wildman actor COLIN FARRELL - insisting they're just "great friends".

The pair met on the set of forthcoming epic ALEXANDER and have since been plagued by speculation they're dating following a series of alleged sightings of the screen stars disappearing into hotel rooms together.

And although Jolie admits she spent Christmas (03) with Farrell, she slams reports they're an item.

She says, "He's a great guy and we're both single people so it makes sense we'd be put into a romantic thing. But as insane as it sounds, we're actually just great friends."
