Hip-hop star JAZZIE B knows all too well what the trappings of fame can be like - so he sympathises with controversial UK garage crew SO SOLID CREW.

The SOUL II SOUL singer - who hit the big time with BACK TO LIFE in 1989 - says that instant success can be daunting, but acknowledges today's stars have it a lot worse.

Jazzie says, "It was a very innocent time back then. How can you explain what it's like, going from driving an ESCORT one day to driving a BENTLEY the next?

"When we threw a party, you could just come up and talk to us. If you tried to do that to So Solid someone would be there saying, 'Oi, what do you want?'"
