Movie beauty GWYNETH PALTROW is expecting a baby boy with husband CHRIS MARTIN - if the cake bought to her baby shower is an accurate indication.

The SYLVIA actress is notoriously secretive about her private life but when 25 of her closest pals arrived to toast the new baby at New York's upscale IL BUCO restaurant last month (FEB04), the colour of choice was blue.

Gwyneth - who spent over $5400 (GBP3000) on a lavish spread for her guests - was then presented with a lovely cake to mark the occasion, which was finished with blue icing.
