HARRY POTTER - HARRY POTTER STAR FACES RACIAL HATRED

Young HARRY POTTER star KATIE LEUNG has faced a barrage of abuse from jealous DANIEL RADCLIFFE fans since winning the role of his onscreen girlfriend in forthcoming film THE GOBLET OF FIRE.

The 18-year-old youngster, whose father was born in Hong Kong, has been the subject of internet site "Hate Katie" where her eastern looks are attacked as "ugly".

The actress, who was brought up in Scotland, says, "Looking different from most people at school never caused me any problems, so I never expected the hate that popped up on the internet after I got the part in the film. I couldn't understand why people were so angry.

"I'm very proud about how strong I've been over it, though, and it has actually motivated me to try even harder and become even more successful."
