BOOGIE NIGHTS - GRAHAM'S NEW SITCOM SHUTS DOWN

BOOGIE NIGHTS star HEATHER GRAHAM's new US TV sitcom EMILY'S REASONS WHY NOT has shut down production after just one show.

Despite a huge promotional push, the show ceased production after filming the sixth episode last Friday (13JAN06), virtually guaranteeing the sitcom's cancellation.

Emily's Reasons Why Not debuted last Monday (09JAN06) and received poor ratings.

The sitcom's executive producer GAVIN POLONE says, "They promoted it like crazy and when the audience stays away in this super-competitive environment, quick decisions are made. That's the television business."
