GEORGE MICHAEL - GEORGE MICHAEL MAY APPEAR AT LIVE 8

Reclusive pop star GEORGE MICHAEL has hinted he may step out of his low-key existence to perform at the London Live 8 gig on Saturday (02JUL05).

The TOO FUNKY singer performed with his former band WHAM! at the original Live Aid concert in 1985, but in recent years has been less willing to perform on stage.

Although not on the official bill for the Hyde Park concert, his spokesperson CONNIE FILIPELLO admits, "BOB (GELDOF) has been on to him a lot.

"You never know, there may be a surprise on Saturday."

Earlier this week (begs27JUN05) it was reported Live 8 performer MARIAH CAREY is desperate to duet with Michael.
