THE KILLERS frontman BRANDON FLOWERS insists BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN is his saviour, because 'The Boss' taught him how to love his native America.

The 24-year-old spent his youth idolising British stars like THE BEATLES, and credits the BORN IN THE USA hitmaker with teaching him to respect his roots.

He says, "I've found Bruce Springsteen, he's a genius, right there with The Beatles, it blows my mind.

"As a result, I've found the American in myself. I never considered myself an Anglophile but it bothered me that I was born and raised in America and wasn't identifying with that.

"With this next record we're going to have some of that. It's American new wave."
