BRENDA FASSIE - FASSIE DIED FROM OVERDOSE

South African singer BRENDA FASSIE died from a drug overdose, not an asthma attack as previously reported.

The 39-year-old star, one of the country's most popular performers and dubbed 'the MADONNA of the townships", collapsed and died in May (04).

An inquest has discovered Fassie had been smoking cocaine before her death.
