WHITNEY HOUSTON - FANS ENCOURAGED TO PRAY FOR WHITNEY

Fans of troubled singer WHITNEY HOUSTON are being urged to encourage her into leading a more spiritual lifestyle.

REVEREND JAMES MEEKS, who serves as R+B singer R KELLY's spiritual adviser, says that Houston's problems with drugs and domestic abuse can be solved if her fans write to her.

He says, "If we start a letter-writing campaign and Whitney received 10,000 letters from people around the country saying, 'I'm praying for you and your relationship with God will be strengthened,' that spiritual support alone might be the thing that would help her seek the only one that I believe can help her.

"I think the nest thing people can do for Whitney is to encourage her to seek spiritual advice to strengthen her spiritual life."
