RACHEL WEISZ - EVIL EVELYN HAUNTS RACHEL WEISZ

British actress RACHEL WEISZ is glad her stint playing a manipulative girlfriend in THE SHAPE OF THINGS is over - because the character used to invite herself round for dinner.

Weisz admits playing evil EVELYN in the NEIL LA BUTE film was tough because the character started to manifest itself in her at the most inappropriate of moments.

In the film, Weisz plays an perfectionist art student who bullies her geeky boyfriend (PAUL RUDD) into becoming her own work of art - by changing his whole image.

Weisz says, "I was Evelyn for a year and I found I could slipback into her quite easily when I wasn't working.

"That seemed great at first. I relished her badness. I relished her conviction and her anarchy.

"I think my family was glad to see Evelyn, go. I think they'd had enough of Evelyn at dinner. I didn't invite her for dinner but she'd turned up now and again! When you're playing a character for a year, they show up now and again and you don't even know it. She'd just be downright nasty."
