FAITH EVANS - EVANS' UNUSUAL COUNTRY INSPIRATION

FAITH EVANS stopped listening to R+B in the months before she composed her latest album - preferring instead to blast out classic country music.

The singer's upcoming release THE FIRST LADY will be her first in four years, and she was determined to play around with the popular R+B format and record something unique.

And she credits her country idols with helping her achieve this.

She says, "I listened to WAYLON (JENNINGS) and DOLLY (PARTON). I like how country writers aren't afraid to be honest, to tell their stories."
