ER - ERIQ LA SALLE STUMPED BY SEX AND THE CITY POPULARITY

Former ER actor ERIQ LA SALLE struggles to understand why raunchy TV show SEX AND THE CITY has proved such a hit with female audiences.
The ONE HOUR PHOTO star pokes fun at women who take characters CARRIE BRADSHAW and friends seriously, and doesn't think they'd be so interested if the show was about four male friends instead.
Bemused Eriq was unimpressed by a party at Miami restaurant BARTON G's because the bash was to celebrate the launch of the comedy's new series.
A witness comments, "As soon as Eriq saw that they were having a watching party for the show, he made a face.
"He turned to a few of the ladies who had their eyes glued to the TV sets and demanded, 'What is it with you women and this show? I just don't get it.'
"When one of the women replied, 'Oh, we can all relate to it,' he asked, 'Would you watch a show about four men talking about nothing but sex?'"
The woman said that she would, but Eriq deadpanned, "Somehow, I doubt that."
