EMINEM - EMINEM TO PLAY COMIC ANTI-HERO?
Superstar rapper EMINEM is being lined up to play a movie anti-hero in the forthcoming big screen version of comic book WANTED.
Author MARK MILLAR has signed a deal with Hollywood studio UNIVERSAL to bring the ultra-violent super villain to the big screen - and he hopes to persuade Eminem to star in the $95 million (GBP50 million) project.
The rapper - real name MARSHALL MATHERS - is a fan of the cult comic series and has already proven his acting credentials with 2002's OSCAR-winning 8 MILE.
Millar says, "I'm really excited about the possibility of Marshall playing the lead role and Universal have already been in talks with his people, and also lined up one of the top five producers in Hollywood."
"Films about the bad guys are always far more interesting and this is the most violent and evil thing that I have ever written."
