Rapper EMINEM locks himself in his studio and refuses to chat to his pals when he's working on a new record, according to protege 50 CENT.

50 reveals he has learned never to try to get hold of his friend when he's "on lockdown" working on new material.

He tells men's magazine BLENDER, "The only time you can't speak to Em is when he's making a record.

"Then he shuts down everything, goes away, nobody can get to him until he's done."
