EMINEM - EMINEM BEATEN UP FOR HIS LOVE OF ALL THINGS AFRICAN

Rapper EMINEM was beaten up as a child because he insisted on pretending to be African.

The STAN hitmaker upset Afro-American friends in his native Detroit, Michigan, by wearing an Africa medallion around his neck at all times.

He recalls, "I'd be trying to explain to my black friends who didn't really feel like I should be wearin' it, like, 'Look, I love this culture, I'm down with this.'

"But you're a kid so you're not really sure of anything, you haven't really experienced life yet.

"Walking through Detroit, I'm getting jumped for being white."

The rapper admits things got even worse when he and his pal started wearing clocks on chains around their necks like PUBLIC ENEMY star FLAVOR FLAV.

He adds, "I remember this dude jumping in front of my boy's face and bein' like, 'Yeah boyyee. What you know about hip-hop, white boyyee?'"
