EMILY MORTIMER - EMILY MORTIMER GIVES BIRTH TO SON

British film actress EMILY MORTIMER has given birth to a son.

The YOUNG ADAM star had her first child at London's PORTLAND HOSPITAL on Friday night (26SEP03). The as-yet-unnamed tot weighed in at 3.46 kg (7lb 10oz).

According to Mortimer's spokesperson at PUBLIC EYE COMMUNICATIONS, mother and baby are "doing very well."

Mortimer, 31, married fellow actor ALESSANDRO NIVOLA in January (03).

She was unable to attend Sunday night's (28SEP03) premiere of her latest movie BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS, because of the birth.
