Flamboyant superstar SIR ELTON JOHN despises the paparazzi so much, he promises to murder as many as he can by machine gun if he ever finds out he has six months to live.

The I'M STILL STANDING singer, 56, admits he doesn't go out much anymore, because he's fed up with running away from over-zealous photographers.

He moans, "I'm not keen on being followed around by the paparazzi, I hate them. If I had six months to live, I'd get a machine gun and I'd kill 'em all. And I'm being serious. It's that bad. They're scumbags. They're not human anyway."

And the British rocker remains upset about a trip he made to Italy with his lover DAVID FURNISH, only to encounter paparazzi.

He recalls, "I took my parents and my partner's parents to Florence to see an exhibition that David had curated and they cornered us in the street. There were 50 of them. They pushed my father over, they pushed David's mother. In the end it was like a scene from BLAZING SADDLES - my mother was hitting them with her handbag, All hell broke loose.

"I don't mind if I'm on business. If I'm going somewhere and I'm saying hello, they're fine, that's great. But don't follow me around everywhere, don't be in the store when I'm in there."

He adds, "I hate them. If one of them got knocked over, I wouldn't stop and pick them up."
