Disney's top dogs were barking up a storm Tuesday as final box-office figures for the four-day President's Day weekend showed the dogs-in-distress drama Eight Below earning nearly $25 million at the box office, some $10 million more than analysts had expected. The projected winner, Fox's Date Movie came in second with $21.8 million. A third newcomer, Sony/Revolution's Freedomland ended up seventh, with a disappointing $6.7 million.

The top ten films over the four-day President's Day weekend, according to final figures compiled by Exhibitor Relations (figures in parentheses represent total gross to date):
