EDWYN COLLINS SUFFERS BRAIN HAEMORRHAGE

Scottish singer EDWYN COLLINS is seriously ill after suffering a brain haemorrhage on Sunday night (20FEB05).

Collins, who used to front 1980s band ORANGE JUICE before scoring a huge solo hit in 1995 with single A GIRL LIKE YOU, is being treated in hospital after falling victim to the cerebral haemorrhage.

Wife GRACE COLLINS has confirmed on the 45-year-old's website: "He is being well looked after in hospital. When there is more to report, I'll let you all know."

A spokesman adds, "He has been in hospital since, where doctors are trying to stabilise his condition."
