KYLIE MINOGUE - EDINBURGH GETS MTV AWARDS

Scotland is set to play host to KYLIE MINOGUE and others at one of the world's biggest celebrity events, the MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS.

The show will be held at the OCEAN TERMINAL in Leith, Edinburgh and pop queen MADONNA is rumoured to be making an appearance.

The week-long event will take place in November and is expected to attract thousands of visitors while placing Scotland firmly in the international spotlight.

A host of celebrities are set to jet in for the glitzy ceremony, whose winners last year included EMINEM, KYLIE MINOGUE, JENNIFER LOPEZ, ALICIA KEYS and MOBY.

An insider says, "This is a huge coup for Scotland. The awards are as big as it gets.

"It will be Scotland's biggest ever night out."
