CLINT EASTWOOD - EASTWOOD'S HORSE AT THE CENTRE OF RESCUE ATTEMPT

A horse owned by CLINT EASTWOOD's daughter was at the centre of a rescue effort on Thursday night (18MAR04) after it fell down an embankment in Calabasas, California.
Fire and rescue crews and a vet worked through the night to rescue ALISON EASTWOOD's 24-year-old horse MIDNIGHT after she lost her footing and fell into a canyon while she was grazing.
Overnight fog made a rescue effort impossible until dawn on Friday (19MAR04) but the horse was fed and watered by a vet as she stood stranded in the canyon.
The horse is said to be fine, and suffered no broken bones.
