CLINT EASTWOOD - EASTWOOD: 'HOLLYWOOD NOT THE MOVIE CAPITAL'

Director CLINT EASTWOOD disputes the notion Hollywood holds a monopoly on film-making, because great movies can be made anywhere in the world.
Eastwood is more interested in the people involved with a screen project and the ideas they share than the production line mentality of some Hollywood studios.
The 74-year-old told British movie magazine EMPIRE, "I don't think there's a capital for movie-making - good movies are made everywhere, it just depends on who the group of people is and who puts together a more interesting story.
"THE LORD OF THE RINGS series, that was made in New Zealand. THE LAST SAMURAI was made there, too. Good films are made all over the world."
