Acclaimed actress KIRSTEN DUNST has launched a staggering attack on her forthcoming romantic comedy WIMBLEDON - criticising the dialogue and her own performance.

The VIRGIN SUICIDES beauty - who is dating DONNIE DARKO hunk JAKE GYLLENHAAL - plays a female tennis player who falls in love with PAUL BETTANY's rank outsider in the movie, which is slated for a summer (04) release.

But Dunst, 21, already fears the film is too formulaic and her work in it is not up to scratch.

Kirsten rants, "It is a romantic comedy. But sometimes it was really hard for me to do some of the scenes.

"They were so fluffy and I tried to make something out of them, but they were just, like romantic comedy.

"It's just so hard to do that stuff and be charming in take 30, trying to be fresh and sexy, or whatever. And it shows."
